Our approach
Density work is not about making the hair darker. It is about matching the shadow created by existing follicles so the scalp attracts less attention under everyday light.
Suitability depends on the pattern and amount of hair already present.
Pigment is selected to blend with your skin, root colour and haircut.
We explain what SMP can and cannot change before treatment.

The visual effect depends on the amount and stability of your existing hair, root colour, skin tone and usual haircut. We inspect the scalp in soft and direct light because a density plan that looks balanced indoors may read differently in sunlight. If coverage is too sparse or actively changing, we explain why cosmetic camouflage may not be suitable yet.
Density SMP should not create one uniformly dark surface. Small impressions are distributed between existing roots with controlled variation and a conservative tone. Staged sessions allow the healed colour to be reviewed before more density is added, helping the treatment remain compatible with the hair that is already present.
SMP does not create new hair, increase strand thickness or stop progressive hair loss. It also cannot alter scalp texture or the movement of longer hair. The goal is narrower: to reduce how strongly visible scalp contrasts with existing roots in suitable, stable patterns.
The technique works best when enough hair remains for pigment impressions to read as shadow between roots. We inspect show-through from several angles, strand thickness and whether the pattern is stable. With very sparse or changing coverage, a darker scalp can become obvious when the hair moves.
The area is reviewed in soft, direct and side light because contrast changes greatly between interiors, sunlight and photography. Tone is not selected to look dramatic immediately after application. The aim is for the healed result to work with the roots in the conditions where you live and work.
Skin, sun exposure, haircut and the natural progression of thinning can alter the balance over time. We discuss possible future review without promising one fixed duration for everyone. If coverage changes substantially, the responsible option may be a redesigned plan rather than simply adding more pigment.
